Panic call to remember Firefighter


Kota Belud : The swift action of firefighters rescued five students call home and a hotel destroyed by fire from the incident in the village of Kota Belud , near here , yesterday midnight .

However , the occurrence of 12 midnight , a house occupied 10 individuals failed to be saved, but there were no injuries or casualties reported .

According Jegstimhol Elling , 20 , when it was he and his friends realize their neighbor's house on fire and the fire spread rapidly .

"I also heard the scream of our residents ordered to leave their homes before the fire got bigger.

" I rushed out of the house and tried to help put out the fire , but failed when the fire more lively and difficult to control, " he said yesterday.

Jegstimhol said , in a panic , not people trying to contact the fire brigade for help.

" During the incident , all too anxious residents and residents are trying to save their personal belongings .

" I called the emergency line and a team of firefighters arrived a few minutes later before controlling the fire , " he said.

Jegstimhol said he feared that the fire was rife rental homes and hotels nearby.

"Due to the distance of our rental house about 50 meters from a burning house , I worry if the flames spread to nearby areas , " he said.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department ( JBPM ) states Mohd Affendy K Ramin said they received a call at 12:13 am and six members with an engine rushed to the scene .

" Upon arrival , a wooden house completely destroyed and the fire fighting operations carried out soon.

"The fire is controlled and a half hours before the operation ended at 2:55 in the morning , " he said.

According Affendy , no casualties reported injured or killed due to the occupants can escape .

"The cause of the incident and the estimated loss is still under investigation , " he said.
