BATU PAHAT - A man died after the car he was driving crashed into a lorry at Km 1 , Jalan Kolam Air , Parit Sulong , here, yesterday .
In the incident at 5:20 pm , the victim , Mohd Fazlan Mohd Idris , 25 , who drove a Honda Accord died types at the scene .
Witness , Rashid Rafiq , 38 , told the incident is realized after he heard loud bang .
According to him, during the accident, he was in a garden nearby and rushed to the scene to survey the cause of the crash .
" I kept running toward the road and found an accident has occurred and the villagers were told it involved a car colliding with a truck .
" The villagers also tried to save the trapped driver , " he told The Star yesterday.
The provisional , Batu Pahat OCPD Assistant Commissioner Din Ahmad said the crash happened after the car driven by the victim believed skidded and went into the opposite lane before hitting a truck .
He said as a result of the accident, the car driver trapped and died at the scene confirmed .
" His body was taken to the Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail ( HSNI ) for further action before claimed his family.
"The case is being investigated under Section 41 ( 1) of the Road Transport ( APJ ) 1987," he said.
