Fire News : Grandson saved grandmother


JOHOR BAHRU - "Nothing could be saved because everything is burnt. Enough husband gone, the house was now destroyed , "said a senior citizen, Sa'adiah Monday when his house burned in a fire about 9 am Monday.
78-year -old single mother who lived in the house two doors with her ​​children and grandchildren in Kampung Sungai Perling , here , but thankfully all 14 members of his family survived .
According to him, no words can describe the feelings that seeing homes destroyed by fast in front of the eye.
" I was only able to scream but difficult move was diagnosed with Parkinson's as well , but fortunately rescued grandchildren. I also carry hand bag containing identification cards and medical cards , " he told The Star yesterday.
In that incident , Sa'adiah with his son and son in law and 10 grandchildren at home.
Clearly, the moment he was sitting in the front hall and several times he heard a small explosion .
" I thought the boy threw stones at the zinc , but soon saw fire .
"My son was out for a while back then, that there is only grandchild most are asleep. Due to my cry , all awake and helped bring me out of the house , " he said.
The grandson, Maisarah Farhanah Safari Mohamad , 17 , said he heard his grandmother scream and wake up and see the fires started .
He said he tried to take water to extinguish the fire but were unsuccessful.
"In less than five minutes , our house is destroyed . All school supplies including text books burnt, " he said.
Another grandson Sa'adiah , Farhan Mohamad Nazrul Safari , 16 , said that once awakened, she only thought to save his grandmother and cat .
Obviously, he managed to bring out her grandmother but fail to take the kitten in the house because the fire is too rife.
