BATU PAHAT – An elderly loved ones almost lost when his house in Jalan Parit Besar, here are involved in a fire yesterday.
However , help from neighbors to save his wife , daughter and three grandchildren to Tan Kim CWA , 73 , who was at home in the scene around 4.45pm .
Kim CWA said during the incident , he was in his garden to plant vegetables before rushing home after neighbors contacted .
" After receiving a call from a neighbor , I tried to contact family members , but there is no cause I'm pretty worried and rushed home.
" Once you get home, I see a lot of help for fire fighting , and I also see all of my family members are safe .
" According to one neighbor , he saw the flash had grabbed my house and then saw the fire while after that, " he said here yesterday .
His son, Tan Chee Hue , 34 , said that when a fire broke out , he was sleeping on the top floor of the house and just realized the incident involved after hearing his name called .
He said he feels the heat even during the heavy rains rushed up to see the actual events that occurred in his home.
"Upon waking , I see the fire is blazing and neighbors near and other family members , screaming calling my name to come out of the house immediately.
"Once you get out with nothing and strikes circumstances , I see almost half of the house was on fire , including the room where I slept that first caught fire , " he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Fire and Rescue Sari Timah Road , Mohd Fauzi Md Noor said the department received a call at 4:49 pm and arrived at the scene 10 minutes later.
He said he and his eight employees and one machine took 10 minutes to control the fire and cease operations entirely about an hour later .
" When we arrived on scene , we found that nearly 80 percent of the house was on fire , especially in the roof of the house is made of wood .
