Fire News : Home gardeners buried by landslides

KUCHING : A house in the village gardens Simboh , Sariq Apex Road in Padawan , near here, were buried by landslides .
The owner, John Kolia said however they were lucky because the concrete house in unoccupied .
Retired 59-year -old government , adding that they only know about it after his son received a call from a neighbor around 11:30 .
"The last time I was here yesterday afternoon ( Sunday ) to collect the fruit .
" Thankfully, we are not at home during the incident , " he told reporters yesterday.
The incident was discovered by a neighbor around 7 am when they wanted to go down to work .
Total loss was estimated at RM4 , 000 .
Landslide is thought to occur around early morning rains.
Meanwhile, the Department of Fire and Rescue Fire Station Siburan received a call around 8:02 am .
Two members rushed to the scene to carry out monitoring work .
